Did you know that we own a beautiful building in the East Humboldt Park neighborhood of Chicago? We want this kingdom asset to be maximized for ministry in 2023!
Housing (2nd floor) – This week we had a team of 10 men from the Concord Baptist Association in TN come up and help us tear out carpet, paint walls, install new flooring, and assemble bunk beds. We now have:
A ‘Ministry BnB’ with a queen bed, bunk beds, and private bath. A church planter and his family are temporarily living in there right now, but in the future this will be a hotel-style room available for nightly stays.
A large bunk room with 22 beds.
Two smaller bunk rooms each with 10 beds.
Large bathrooms with showers.
Office/Meeting Space (1st floor) –
A large meeting room that can hold about 75 people. Currently Beloved Community Church uses this space on Sunday mornings. But it is available at other times throughout the week for events.
A smaller room for childcare.
An open area that we’re prepping to be co-working space where people like pastors or planters can come and office from while rubbing shoulders.
Kitchen/Fellowship Hall (Basement) –
An industrial kitchen.
A large meeting room with tables and chairs.
More bathrooms with showers!
We want this to be a hub of kingdom activity! Come by and see it. Spread the word. And if you want to inquire about using the space, email mindycobb@chicagolandbaptists.org. The spring and summer are filling up!
Here is someone to know about – Pastor Faustino Ramirez.
Iglesia Nuevo Pacto is one of our Spanish-speaking churches. It was founded in 2017. Since then Pastor Faustino has been faithfully preaching the gospel to the Hispanic community, with side-by-side translation to English to reach out to multiple generations. It's been a joy that by the grace of God people have been saved by the gospel to the obedience that comes from faith! Nuevo Pacto shares space with Brainard Avenue Baptist Church in Countryside.
